Climate, Energy and the Changing Environment Symposium
RFI planned and executed the public relations program for the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation’s symposium on environmental chemistry research. The event brought together over 100 world-class scientists on October 24, 2008, at the New York Academy of Sciences, 7 World Trade Center in Manhattan.
2008 ACE Reception Raises Money for Scholarships
The ACE Mentor Program of Greater New York held its annual Fall Fundraiser on September 11, 2008, at the newly constructed New York Times Center. Planned and staffed by RFI, the event featured keynote speeches on the building’s design and construction by developer representative MaryAnne Gilmartin of Forest City Ratner and building owner representative David Thurm of The New York Times Company. Platinum reception sponsors included Adelhardt Construction, Forest City Ratner, STV Group, Inc., Syska Hennessey Group, Thornton Tomasetti and Tishman Speyer. The ACE Mentor Program, established over ten years ago, mentors high school students in NYC public schools. The event raised over $80,000 in scholarship funds.
Those Amazing Scientists Now Available
Those Amazing Scientists, the second in a series of informative books for young people to interest them in important and under-served professions, is now available for special order.

RFI Wins Awards in 2007
The Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals presented RFI with the Gold MarCom award for concept, writing and design of the Yonkers Contracting Company, Inc. Web site.
RFI was recognized with the prestigious AVA Platinum Award for its career video, entitled, “Consulting Engineering—A Career that Matters.” Developed for the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York), the 8-minute video uses FLASH animation and video clips of young professionals to encourage college students to consider a career in consulting engineering.
