RFI Wins Awards In 2007
The Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals presented RFI with the Gold MarCom award for concept, writing and design of the Yonkers Contracting Company Inc. website.
RFI was recognized with the prestigious AVA Platinum Award for its career video, entitled “Consulting Engineering—A Career that Matters.” Developed for the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACECNY), the 8-minute video uses FLASH animation and video clips of young professionals to encourage college students to consider a career in consulting engineering.

2007 ACE Reception Raises Money for
Scholarships
The ACE Mentor Program of Greater New York held its annual
Fall Fundraiser on September 18, 2007 at The New York Academy
of Sciences, located on the 40th floor in the newly constructed
7 World Trade Center. Planned and staffed by RFI, the reception
was sponsored by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill; Silverstein
Properties; and Tishman Construction Corporation. Keynote
speaker David M. Childs, FAIA, of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill,
delivered inspiring remarks to a broad representation of the
architecture, engineering and construction community. The
ACE Mentor Program, established over ten years ago, mentors
high school students in NYC public schools. The event raised
over $40,000 in scholarship funds.
RFI Welcomes New Staff Member
In September 2007, Keba Cairo joined RFI in the position of
Construction Outreach Coordinator Assistant assigned to the
MTA Capital Construction/East Side Access Project in New York
City.
